The discovery of Metal was one of the most pivotal moments in human history, and also our most dangerous. With this gift, we are able to construct ideas that are beyond human capability, and are more in line with cosmological forces than human experience. Space travel, computer technology, weaponry… All of these inventions have their roots in metallurgy. Is it right that we have made this discovery when it has caused so much hurt and pain in the world? What would we be without our metal driven wars? Is it possible to learn to wield this power in a more productive and generative manner?
